In his latest exposé, Danish satirist Mads Brügger travels to the Central African Republic as an actual diplomat to unmask the political and economic corruption confronting modern Africa. But post colonialist corruption is not the only target in the documentarian’s crosshairs. With his unscrupulous appearance, hidden cameras, and a Pygmy operated match factory (dubiously created to hide a diamond-smuggling operation), Brügger pushes the ethnical boundaries of what it means to be both a diplomat and a documentary filmmaker.
